In 2005, a group of men started a Men’s Fraternity group at Point of Grace Church in Waukee. Over 300 men attended those three years of teaching and growth and we have experienced a strong result of godly men who are ready to serve and lead in this local church. These men are now able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions:
- “What is a man?”
- “What am I living to be and become?”
- “How can I develop my own personal “Manhood Plan?”
In 2008, several of the Lead Team from Point of Grace, along with others who joined them, took the Men’s Fraternity teaching out into the community through the YMCA. With the full support of the YMCA, several hundred more men, representing over a dozen local churches, have experienced the benefits of the truths taught so clearly and effectively through Men’s Fraternity’s three semesters of learning.
I can’t begin to express, as a pastor of a local church, how thankful I am for this most effective Men’s Ministry experience and for the life-changing and long-lasting results I have seen in my life and the lives of so many in our church.
Men, experience, as I have, the most effective men’s ministry I have ever known.
Pastor Tom Allen
